Assoc. Professor Dr. Ahmet Aydilek

Ahmet H. Aydilek is an Associate Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Maryland-College Park. He received a B.S. from Technical University of Istanbul, Turkey in 1993, and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1996 and 2000, respectively. Dr. Aydilek is actively involved in geotechnical, geoenvironmental and geosynthetics engineering research. His research has focused on flow through porous geomedia, remediation of contaminated soil and groundwater, and image-based techniques to characterize geosynthetics and other geomaterials. He has directed or co-directed several research and consulting projects for industry and government, and co-authored over 75 technical publications in geoengineering
